Shepherd's Cottage     Keeper's Cottage     Grieve's House
 The Grieve's House
Two bedrooms, three bathrooms - sleeps 4/5.

A Grieve is what is called the farm manager in Scotland - we have, therefore, created a space which is worthy of "manager status."  During the renovations from what was the boiler house, gun room and game room,  it was discovered that the original wooden panelling was behind more modern additions - and in the remodelling of this cottage it has then been incorporated into the decor, as well as the oringal slate floors.

The Grieve's House sleeps four or five.  This cottage is a popular choice for families with older children or two couples sharing.

The sitting room has wood panelled walls and a slate floor with rugs, additional heating is supplied by an open fire, so popular on chilly evenings for a cosy night in with a glass of wine.  We also provide SKY Freeview television with a video/DVD player,a CD/cassette player and ipod dock.  From the sitting room, French windows lead into a private garden, laid to lawn with garden funiture in a patio area.

The spacious kitchen/diner is fully equipped with an electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and a dishwasher.  A full range of equipment, utensils and crockery are also provided.  The kitchen retains the original large cupboards. The kitchen window has views across the fields, with the sight of bouncy lambs in the fields in May.

Upstairs thes is large landing leading to the two bedrooms and a drying room.  The double bedroom has a king-sized bed and a single bed, and en-suite bathroom with bath (no shower).   This bedroom overlooks the garden and fields.

The second bedroom with views overlooking the courtyard towards the Loch and mountains, has twin beds with an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower.

There is also a third bathroom with a bath, shower and WC  downstairs off the hallway for general use.

The Grieve's House benefits from a garden with lawn and garden furniture with stunning views toward the Loch.
